Job DutiesHire and manage a high performance team of engineersDesign, build, launch, and maintain high quality software products with your team. Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.

Establish a sense of urgency and meeting delivery commitments while continuously managing technical debt and non-functional requirementsSet specific, measurable goals for your engineers in alignment with the broader organization's goals. Provide feedback and coaching through regular one-on-ones, impromptu discussions, and formal, semi-annual performance reviewsReview code and provide feedback to ensure best practices (eg, style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)Empower, challenge, and coach a team of senior engineers to grow their impact as individual technical leaders by providing them with context and continuous feedbackBuild and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across Engineering teams and customers throughout engineeringJob RequirementsBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or relevant field, or equivalent experience8+ years of experience as a software engineer preferred, including full stack web and API development5+ years of experience as an engineering leader preferredKnowledge and experience using agile software development processesExceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at active listeningDemonstrated ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure engineers are exceeding the needs of the businessThe ability to coach engineers into shipping high quality, maintainable, and well tested code in a fast paced environmentWork EnvironmentAt MX, we utilize a hybrid work model, which allows us to attract top talent and increase impact through collaboration. Travel expectations for remote employees is about 15%, and the company covers travel expenses for remote employees. Local employees will utilize in-office time on a weekly basis Tuesday through Thursday. CompensationThe expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $169,500 to $203,250. This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
